T-Cell Assays

Epistem's assays can be used to evaluate the efficacy of novel therapeutic agents on T-cell activity and pathogenic T-cell populations.

T-cell Activity Assay

Epistem's in vitro and ex vivo T-cell activity assays can be used to assess cytokine production and activation-induced cell death in T-cells isolated from peripheral blood and secondary lymphoid organs.

Novel therapeutic agents are applied directly to naïve or activated T-cells, isolated from diseased or healthy tissue or peripheral blood, to assess modulation of T-cell activity.

  • FACS analysis of cells undergoing apoptosis

Identification of Pathogenic T-cell Populations

Th1 and Th17 T-cells play a major role in autoimmune and inflammatory disease pathogenesis.

Target pathogenic cell populations from inflamed tissue, peripheral blood and draining lymph nodes are isolated and identified by FACS. The efficacy of novel therapeutic agents to modify these populations is assessed.
