2D In Vitro GI Models

Epistem's range of in vitro gastrointestinal models can be used to evaluate epithelial toxicity, intestinal regeneration, differentiation and transcriptional profiling. These models can be applied to understanding the biological and molecular mechanism of action underpinning the off-target toxic effects of novel therapeutic agents.

In addition to established cell lines, Epistem provides a proprietary Primequant® model and an intestinal organoid model. Both models can be used to predict the in vivo response to novel therapeutic agents.

In Vitro Cytotoxicity - Cell Lines

Epistem provides a range of standard in vitro cytotoxicity assays. These assays can be performed using a wide range of human gastrointestinal cell lines.

2D Primequant® - Primary Tissue

Epistem’s Primequant® model is an in vitro model of normal large intestinal epithelium. This model is representative of the crypt cell maturation pathway; the entire crypt cell population is present including functional stem cells.
